Septic Cost Calculator

Pick the service, answer a question or two, and you'll get a real cost range pulled straight from named, dated national sources. Run it before you call anyone, us included.

Estimated range$7,500 to $20,000

In Northwest Arkansas a new system typically starts around $7,500 and up; national cost guides put the whole-project range at $3,591 to $12,463 (Angi/HomeAdvisor 2026). Pick a system type below for the national per-type range.

Based on national figures from Angi 2026, HomeAdvisor (Jun 2026), ConsumerAffairs 2026, HomeGuide 2026. Your actual price depends on tank size, soil and site conditions, access, and system condition. This is an estimate, not a quote.

How this estimate works

Every range you see here comes straight from published 2026 cost guides: HomeGuide, Angi, HomeAdvisor (June 2026 updates), ConsumerAffairs, Forbes Home, and This Old House. When the guides disagree, the calculator goes with the range most of them land on and calls out the odd one in the result note. Aerobic systems are the clearest case: four sources put them at $10,000 to $20,000, while HomeGuide runs higher at $20,000 to $40,000+. The pumping numbers use the same tank-size table Angi and HomeAdvisor both publish, and the repair line items come from the per-part tables at HomeGuide, Angi, and Forbes Home.

What a calculator can't see is your actual site. Soil depth to rock, groundwater, slope, access, and the shape your current system is in all pull a real quote up or down inside these bands, and once in a while past them. In Northwest Arkansas the soil evaluation usually settles which installation type you'll even be allowed to put in, so once you've got a ballpark, the move that tells you anything new is getting someone out to look at the ground. The installation page walks through the Arkansas permit process, and each service page carries the full sourced tables behind these numbers.
