Whole-project normal range $3,591 to $12,463, average $8,027 (Angi/HomeAdvisor 2026); a basic conventional system runs $3,000 to $8,000.
Based on national figures from Angi 2026, HomeAdvisor (Jun 2026), ConsumerAffairs 2026, HomeGuide 2026. Your actual price depends on tank size, soil and site conditions, access, and system condition. This is an estimate, not a quote.

Every range in this calculator is taken directly from published 2026 cost guides: HomeGuide, Angi, HomeAdvisor (June 2026 updates), ConsumerAffairs, Forbes Home, and This Old House. Nothing is blended or invented. Where major sources disagree, the calculator uses the range most of them agree on and names the outlier in the result note, the aerobic system figure being the clearest example: four sources say $10,000 to $20,000 while HomeGuide says $20,000 to $40,000+. The pumping figures come from the identical tank-size table Angi and HomeAdvisor both publish; the repair line items come from the per-part tables at HomeGuide, Angi, and Forbes Home.
What the calculator cannot know is your site: soil depth to rock, groundwater, slope, access, and system condition all move a real quote inside (or occasionally outside) these bands. In Northwest Arkansas the soil evaluation is usually the deciding factor for installation type, which is why the honest next step after a ballpark is a local evaluation, not a bigger calculator. The installation page explains the Arkansas permit process, and each service page carries the full sourced tables behind these numbers.
